5D MKII + Manual Lenses

Just got myself a 5D and trying on a manual lens for the first time.

Is there something that must be set in the 5D menu in order to use it properly with a manual lens?

For instance, even when I am in Manual Movie mode using a manual lens, the shutter adjustments and ISO adjustments make no change to the exposure. What's happening?

Turns out "Screen Settings" has to be set to "Movie Display" otherwise the 5D MK II will default to automatic exposure.

"Updated Mark IIs [Firmware 1.1.0, older article] now have the choice of shooting in fully automatic or fully manual exposure modes for video. To shoot in the new manual mode, you'll need to turn the Command dial, naturally enough, to Manual, although you'll also need to have the Screen Settings set to Movie display, as described above. If the Command dial is in any other position, or the Screen Setting not in Movie Display, the movie mode will become fully automatic. "
