5D MK II + lens combo

moving to full frame soon and just looking for some feedback on camera/lens combo's since I'm on a very tight budget. I shoot alot of wedding/event and corporate/interview productions and so am looking for a 2-3 lens combo that would cover me for any situation. I already have a 50mm 1.4, but am looking at getting the 24-70 or the 135mm f/2.0. If you had only one lens to take with you on the MK II (for a shoot to try and cover you for most situations), what would it be/why? Right now, I only have the budget to get one lens, I'm thinking the 24-70 since its 2.8 and has the range and would compliment my 50mm 1.4 well.

24-105mm F4, Not fast, but with MK3 you'll be fine compared to other dslr sensors with f2.8. You'll appreciate the longer range.

The 24-105 is the logical option. I'm not in love with my copy, though. On the long end, I get a lot of color fringing and softness. I agree the f/4 isn't a big tradeoff from f/2.8. Both of them aren't bright enough for super dark spaces, and both of them are enough for day-to-day uses indoors, especially for stills with IS on.

The 24-105 is fine, but does it really have to be just one lens? Because you could also buy the Samyang 35mm and 85mm for half the cash, or some vintage Leitz primes (Elmarit-R 35mm f/2.8 and Elmarit-R 135mm f/2.8), and any of these options will give you an awesome image and faster aperture.

get the Tamron 24-70VC 2.8( half the price of a C24-70LII) or the C24-105L(1/3 price of C24-70LII) both these have vibration reduction which will be good for video recording, plus both these add up to cost less than the C 24-70L II 28 with extra for a 600EXrt flash.

Also if you only budget for a 5D2 get the 6D instead, 5D2 is a camera from the last generation, ISO is no match for the 6D, also 6D have GPS and wifi, which is good for some special purpose.

Actually you can get an extra 70D if you buy the T24-70 instead of the C24-70
