5D MII + Steadicam Merlin?

I'll be buying a Steadicam Merlin soon for use with my T2i, but I eventually plan on getting a 5D as well and using it with the 24-70mm canon lens. I'm wondering if anyone has played around with the 5D on the Merlin and has any insight into whether or not I'll be able to get it balanced?

I have made some test runs with 5D and Merlin and it works as it should. With primes.

Zooms are a problem as the balance point changes when you zoom them. That means that you would have to rebalance the system every time you change the focal length.

This effect does not manifest itself with normal video cameras, as their lenses are internally really small and light compared to FF DSLR zooms.

I have used quite a few, including a 24-70, 24-105 and a whole host of primes. They all work fine with the 24-70 being the most difficult to setup due to it's reversed zoom... but seriously this isn't rocket science and it takes at most 20 seconds to re-balance a new lens if you have used the Merlin for any length of time.

The easiest lenses to work with I have found were 16-35 or 17-40.
