5D mark2 no manual mode.....2.0.4

I have updated to the latest 2.0.4...

When I am in M mode and i set my aperture and shutter that is fine but as soon as I press record the unit exposure bumps up if I am underexposed or down if I am over exposed...

So I do not have manual control it just seems to go automatic as soon as I record...

This is with the 85mm 1.2 and the 35mm 1.4 apparently my friend has the same issues except when he uses zooms it does stay at the manual exposure... it just does not do so for prime lenses....????

lv might be in photo simulation mode?

you may have auto ISO on. dont do that.

. . . yeah, click the ISO button on top of the camera and check you are not on 'AUTO'.

Same thing was happening to me when I unboxed my new camera today.. I switched off the AUTO ISO and still had the issue, but it was fixed when I went into the menu Live View/Movie func. set. > LV func. setting > Screen Settings > Movie Display and choose Movie display (Rather than Stills+movie).

I hope that makes sense... This will happen to you if you get a new camera with 2.0.4 firmware, but it's easy to resolve.
