5300 vs Gh3

I thought I was going to get a Ninja Star for my D7100, but I think I want to change my camera lineup just a bit. My current options are keep the D7000 and get a Gh3 or D5300 (my goal is to get a 1080P 60fps camera) or wait until February when the new D7xxx/D9xxx is gong to be announced. I doubt that it will have 4K but for what I image I don't know if I need/want 4K. I have Nikkors from 12mm to 500mm, most are D type lenses. I image most micro stock video.

I had thought about he D750 but I think the new DX camera will have similar features for $1K less. All of my lenses except for the 12-24 Nikkor are full frame, but I like the extra reach of the DX cameras.

Any thoughts?

I bought a D750 recently and I think it is probably the best Nikon ever. You can easily select the sensor size you want for video, so can shoot either FF or DX (aka APS-C).

For me, the tilting LCD and Flat mode for colour are its best features. Allows shooting from low or high angles and handle contrasty situations. The colours are better that the GH4, - only wish it was 4k, but I think that is coming in the future.

So you can easily shoot FF when you need the widest shot inside, then switch to DX to get the reach! Win-win. The extra $1k you should be able to fund from just 1 wedding, and the benefits will be there for you for every future event!
