Hi,

A week ago i read an interesting thread, the name of which i cannot remember. I even searched for it, couldn't find it.
The thread discussed using specific filters to shoot 1 inch away from the object to produce the shallowest DOF. There were even 2 links of the same items sold on ebay.
Does anyone remember what i'm talking about?
I am trying to find the exact such filter because i have a need for these filters. Please advise.

Thanks much.

You're looking for close-up achromatic diopter lenses. Century sells some, around $300 each. I've got a Nikon 5T and 6T, pretty decent quality but you need to be zoomed in to Z60 or more to avoid vignetting... around $100 for both diopter lenses and a step-down ring.
