GH3 50p v 25p image quality (same data rate)

Hi all,

Just curious if anyone out there has noticed a big difference in quality between 50p and 25p at 50Mbps on the GH3? Most of the shooting I do is at 50p and then I conform down to 25 so haven't had a good look at the 25p mode

presumably 50p is trying to cram double the amount of frames into the same data rate as 25p thus, each frame has half the allocated data that it would if it were 25p (I know this is not exactly the case with long GOP but you get where I'm coming from here). I have heard stories of the G6 being softer at 50p than 25p...........

any one compared the two closely on the Gh3

i've only shot 50p just to know that i can do slow mo if needed. have you shot the two side by side yet? you'd probably get a quicker answer to your question =)

Like you, I have only shot 50p until now as I have needed to do slowmo on the current project I am working on. I'll try to do a test soon. Thought quite a few people would have done this already.
