50P not as smooth to the eye than 60P?

I'm making this comparison based on experience on playing Pal and NTSC console games. Pal games directly converted from ntsc look not as smooth as NTSC games. I believe that, in Television, we are seing Interlaced footage above the 25/30 fps scenario. Now we are talking about progressive. With the lack of those 10 frames, it seems to me the image of the Pal model (which doesn't have the medium interlaced frame to connect the 50 together) will look noticeably less smooth than the ntsc model. This is not very good for news and overall event and coverage work. With no noticeable gain on going 50hz or 60hz, wouldn't the 6oP machine be the worldwide standard for hd news gattering?

What do you guys think? Anyone done a 50P vs 60P image comparison? (I used the videogames comparison due to games normally being done in a progressive fashion compared to video).

You get used to PAL within a day or so if you're used to NTSC. It's only comparing one to the other directly do you notice any difference. Of course that is entirely subjective.

The thing is, on regular tv broadcast interlaced footage, you don't see much difference. However, on progressive videogames footage...The difference seems quite noticeabe...
