GH3 50p footage pulled down to 24p looks weird... Any fix?

Hi,

I shot a wedding last week. I shot it at 50p for the most part, shutter at 1/100th. Conformed some clips to 24p for nice slow motion. That worked perfectly.
Some other shots I don't want to make slow mo, so I just 'dragged' them onto my 24p timeline. (23.976 actually)

The motion is way off in those clips. Staccato effect and the speed doesn't seem right. Might have to do with the lack of motion blur but there is no 'calmth' in the footage at all.

I use Premiere CS6 and this is the 1st time that I shot 50p footage and want to use it as non-slowmo. Is there any way to make it look (close to) like normal 24p footage?

Thanks guys.

Hey P13,

Thanks. Why would 25p be nicer?
I do have After Effects, but I use premiere to make the clips slow mo. I make Premiere 'interpret' the 50p footage as 23.976p and that looks really good to me. Perfect motion blur and everything.
But now, I want to have the 50p footage played back as 23.976 footage, without it being slow mo. And it works, just by dragging the 50p clips on a 23.976 sequence timeline, but the motion isn't right.

24 doesn't go into 50 which means additional frames will be dropped compared to 25p which will have a subtle difference in the smoothness of the motion. As you say, interpret does smooth slow mo where you're simply halving the speed but if trying a slower speed or if varying the speed then After Effects does a better job.
