Hello. I posted a similar thread in the general DVX section but it went straight down the river with no answer. I used the search function and combed many threads, but I could´nt find any useful hint:
Is there any software solution to convert PAL 50i to NTSC 60i? To be clear: I do´nt want to deinterlace 50i to 25p and put it on a 24p timeline for reproduction in NTSC. What I want is real 60i. Any ideas?
 
you can do it but it looks terrible. it looks all jittery and there are double frames. its just a mess.
 
It works for all the newsstations that can show PAL footage on NTSC or NTSC to PAL.


The best way would be to slow it to 48i footage then put it in a 60i stream. That would have the same motion artifacts as 24P-60i (not the same but you understand what I was thinking)

What was the world cup in soccer recorded in?

Can I do that with any NLE system, with Final Cut for example?
