502 low light

It's no secret that the low light capabilty of the 500 camera is not the best (but by no means the worst)
While my 610 that I use for news is receiving some much needed love and attention, I have been using my 502 to film news stories at night on the Gold Coast. Last night the worst case scenario happened with a siege at 2 am . I must say the camera did alot better than I expected. I missed hyper gain but 18db was alot cleaner than on the 610.
This camera keeps surprising me.

Really, I have no complaints. It been great to work with and have no complaints. I have shot with Sony 2/3 cameras and would say the 500 is in the ball park with them on low light shooting. Now if it was the 200 I would understand the comment.

I would be very interested in seeing some of the night footage that you shot. Can you post a few seconds of any of it?
