500 dionic battery issues

I have 4 Anton bauer dionic batteries. 2 seem to be dying very prematurely OR te camera is understanding then wrong. The batteries say they have plenty of hours left, the camera reads them as charged... Just now I got warning messages from the camera and it shut off- even though the 500 said it had 70% left

the setup in camera is battery select = dionic 90
near at the bottom is set to 13.5 v

any ideas?

Also one of the batteries on me that dies early says 90wh battery with real time display while the battery that I think ha been okay doesn't hVe the 90wh written onthe back...

How old are the batts. and do you condition them on a AB Quad charger? I think the avg. life for them is about 3yrs and AB recommends keeping them on their quad charger whenever they are not in use.
Otherwise you could try setting batt. setup to AUTO or manually to 11v min. and see if that helps.
AB customer service is very good and they will return your call.

thanks for the reply. they are between 1.5 years and about 4 months...I think someone played around with the HPX500 battery settings so that's why I'm not quick to blame the batteries just set.
I have one single charger so they are sitting out a bit....only used maybe 1-2x a week on average.

I do believe you can drop the voltage on the 90 to about 11.5 for the out of Dodge setting.

Best,

I also didn't realize that the batteries are best when they are constantly on the charger...I only ahve a single one...will have to invest in a quad charger one of these days...(or keep buying batteries..)

it did. I spoke to a guy at anton bauer. he said change the setting under battery setup to Type B and then change it to 14.4, near to 12.7, and end at 11.5..seems to be more accurate but I got yelled at for not keeping my batteries on the charger...
