500 chroma error

One of my colleagues was on a 2 camera remote shoot yesterday with our new HPX500s. He sent me the following email:
"We were shooting with one of our 500 cameras in NY yesterday when we had a strange color anomolly occur all of a sudden. The skin tone of our talent literally turned blue.
This happened about an hour and 20 minutes into our show. A power cycle seemed to fix it, but thought it should be brought to your attention as the camera has less than 10 hours of use on it."

Has anyone run into this before? Is it a known error? Any ideas on how to avoid this in the future?

Thanks!

I have neither heard of, or experienced that one. Do you know if the camera was actually recording the blue skin tones, or could it have been a monitor issue? Sometimes if one of the 3 BNC cables comes loose one will get funky color output to the monitor.

If not a cable problem. I would probably have it looked at. That could be a real train wreck out in the field.
