here's the formula
1. although you have ZERO experience, you decide you want to make some movies
2. google everything
3. ebay everything else
4. panhandle outside B&H until they take pity
5. read DVXuser.com more than your girlfriend's e-mails (careful)
6. watch every doc that the video store has, including the "it's a work in progress" films produced by the video store clerks
7. stalk Walter Graff until he takes out a restraining order
8. volunteer your NYC apartment to Panasonic for their new Manhattan headquarters (What's with this New Jersey stuff? C'mon!)
Mix all that together, then produce something. post it. by having the pros tear you up mercilessly, you'll be forced into therapy, where you might be placed on drugs that give you EVEN BETTER ideas.
