This is my first attempt at putting together a montage of my first uses with the homemade dolly i built. I posted some of the video in a previous thread called (a gift to you ) or something like that, but this time i want criticism. I really want to become fluent and good with dolly shots and any advice would be greatfly appreciate. This is basically all the footage we captured and we wanted to use it all so this was the most creative way we could work it all together. So blast away. I wish i wasnt my hardest judge..

i used my name in the credits because this was my edit of the film.
Things i have been told and agree with in terms of critique.
1. Should have lost the gum ( i made the choice to have it in there originally but perhaps it was a bad choice )
2. Bit of shake in the dolly movements ( very light duty tripod that wables from any movement, but great for pans! fluid like. optex t465 )
3. The acceleration of the dolly movements. ( human fault, wouldnt mind more than 8 wheels on my skater dolly though )
My girflriend and i did this together as she needed something for her portfolio for university. She is going into animation design or something ( lol, good to be informed) and so this was mostly for artistic feeling as opposed to film realism. And we tried really hard to edit the shots linking some way or other with the music. We purposely did not sync every cut with the beat of the music because we decided the footage did more of a dance if it was slightly off tempo near the end.
blast away!
