"5 Hour Energy" drink

Perhaps I've been out of the States too long, but didn't colored shirts sporting white collars end when the eighties did?

I think I'll need you to come in and watch it on Saturday, though. And I think I'll need you to come on in on Sunday, too...'kaaaaay...

i recently got a coca plant while on a mission trip in columbia. the locals there taught me how to make this paste out of the crushed leaves from the plant. it keeps me awake much better than any of those drinks i used to buy at the store.

A friend of mine - who was an LAPD officer - took a trip to Bolivia to tour around and visit relatives, and he said that coca leaves were piled in baskets at every market. Said that the effect of chewing a plug was kind of like drinking several cups of strong coffee (but not as tasty).

Works fine for me, but more like 2-3 hour energy.

I have never understood the notion of a "crash," I have to be honest. I drink a lot of energy drinks, probably one a day, and there is no "crash." It's pretty obvious that if you were tired when you drank the damn thing, and 4 hours later you're tired again, that's NOT a crash, that's just you back to where you were before. Umm... duh? lol. A crash would be if you felt normal before you drank it, then went up, and 4 hours later were completely exhausted. That would only be ok if it was time for bed. But anyway, I often time energy drinks for that anyway, if I want to go to sleep at 2 a.m. and I have one at 10 p.m., then it gets me to 2 and then I'm about ready for bed. It's not a crash, though, it's just it being time for bed.

Other times I have it mid-day and it's just fine. If I'm tired again later I can always grab another, but one thing is for sure an energy drink isn't a permanent cure for being tired. It's temporary. If you're tired before it, you're going to be tired after it, that's a certainty, and yes, probably MORE tired because it's even later in the day. Sleep cures being tired, not energy drinks ;)

So the point of this post is that one is more tired after the caffeine wears off than before consumption of the beverage only because it's later in the day?
