"5 Hour Energy" drink

It works. It's the only one that's worked for me, too. Monster, Red Bull, etc taste like liquid hay and make you crash. NoDoze gives you the munchies and you crash hard after those.

5 Hour Energy is the only one I trust.

I've heard the same as Hawk... actually one of my DOP friends who is very health conscious tried it, and now he swears by it on long shoots...

He said you can feel your body shutting down, but the 5 hour turning it back on again and again...

It's fantastic and ALL NATURAL. I have tried Monster before and it makes me shaky! 5 hr. is no shakes, and no crash, just terrific!

Five hours per week in the gym will almost certainly yield better results in terms of your energy levels than anything '5-hour' that comes in a can, anyway.

I don't know. Load me up with enough caffeine or ginseng or guarana or whatever to make a real difference, and I become actively dangerous to be around...

5-hour energy does nothing for me. I've tried it a couple times during a promotion last year and thought "hmm... nothing".

Read the fine print on the tv ad... it says it works about as good as a cup of coffee.

Year in and year out you can count on something that will give you energy, make you lose weight, etc. etc. but the one thing that's constant is there is no free lunch. I think 5-hour is a cup of coffee with a marketing induced placebo effect.

It works well for me.

It contains the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee, but it's loaded with other things that are better ways to get you energy. B vitamins, L-Tyrosine, Ginseng, etc... If you're plenty awake already, a 5-hour energy doesn't give you a boost other than the caffeine, but if your body is lacking the things I mentioned previously, it'll help you out a lot.

+1

Running and swimming, too. Eat an apple or other sweet fruit during moments of fatigue. Those drinks are not healthy at all.

it works for me. agreed on working out, but if you don't have time to spend an hour in the gym/running/whatever, these will work, taste better than the other stuff and I have never experienced a crash, gotta love those B vitamins

Coffee. It's cheap and it doesn't come with annoying ads featuring smug guys in cliche office environments to torture you with.
