I'm looking for someone with their own pro-sumer or better camera and gear to act as my second camera person for 5 days in June. The exact dates are June 3-7. The job is shooting the AHA Region 8 Championship Horse show at the National Western Event Center. The job pays a flat rate of $200/ day. It would also be great if you had some means of either direct to HD recording or solid state recording so as to make file transfers as quick as possible. I will simply not be able to manually (DV) capture all these show clips with the profit margin to delivery frame ratio being what it is.
The days can be long, from 7am to as late as 10pm, but typically 8am-6pm. As i mentioned you would need your own camera and tripod as well as a means of easily transferring clips to a hard drive.
It's not a lot of money, but it's a video job. All you have to do is stand on a platform and shoot video of people riding around in circles, and best of all you'll get to work with me! (insert zany effect) It's fun work. You get a lot of breaks. I only "need" a 2nd person when 2 people want the same class. An interest/knowledge of horses is a huge plus too.
