I have a few Matthew Maxi Steel Stands and generally like them, but they have one problem for me: the 5/8 male stud on top is very short, so I can't really put any gobo heads on it. I'm looking for some kind of extender I can put on top of the Maxi stud to make it longer; for example, it could go over the top with a side screw to secure it, and then extend the 5/8 stud by a few inches to take a gobo. Is there such an extender/adapter, and where can I buy it?
OK, found one, but boy, almost $20! Any cheaper solutions?! Also I'm not sure this one is long enough to fit a gobo.
