4X4 filter or circular

I need to get a black pro mist filter but I'm not sure if I need to make an investemnt in a mattbox and a 4X4 filter, or if I can get by with a screw on. I'm sure the 4X4 is better, but I'm wondering if I can get by with the other. Obviously price is a factor. Is there a huge difference?

And what about using a circular pro mist on top of a circular ND? I've noticed in the past that sometimes the filters reflect off of each other.

Hence the need of a mattebox to minimize reflections. Also, if you stack up too many filters, you'll end up with some vignetting.

yes, one filter is fine, maybe a scond, but stacking to many screw-ons won´t work really.

i got the Formatt FM500 mattebox and it works with 1 screw-on and then two 4x4 filters without vignetting. the 4x4 are quite pricey, too.
