Here are some screen grabs from a small short that I did of our 4th of July celebration.  Unfortunatly, I don't think that I should post the actual movie file, because it is possible that there is some incriminating evidence.  Lets just say that we live close to an indian reservation, and that most fireworks are leagal where we are, however, those weren't no black cats that did that to the garbage can. And also lets just say that I have some pretty crazy friends and neighbors, but this is a college town, and there really isn't much else to do, except go to bars, and those were all full on the 4th. There is some pretty extensive color correcting going on, and everything was shot in 24P.  The camera held up well in the horrible twilight lighting conditions.  Let me know what you think.

Crazy, i love the pictures, you didn't do anything with them? It looks like you put an overlay effect with a blur on it to make the images look like a heaven look. but yeah, cool man!

No,no, actually, I did a lot of color corrections and curves adjustments. I also duplicated the entire edit and placed it in the track above, as a black and white track with a overlay composit and the opacity at about 70%. and your right about the overlay, actually it is just a tweeked "glow" filter in vegas.

Those are some cool caps. I understand that due to the nature of your independence day hijinks that you can't show your entire thingy, but maybe with a little editing you could post some of it, cuz I would love to see the DVX100 in action with all your color corrections and the overlay. Could ya huh? ;D

Ok, I will post it, but only for a few days. Nobody tell on me ok? IT really isn't that bad, and it actually wasn't me at all, it was our naughty neighbors. :) Give me a little bit to render it out to a WMV and I'll post it.

Thats it? I thought when you said "HI jinks" and were stressed I'd see frame grbas of a horse and the neighborhood girl.

Oh well. Nice grabs though.

the link seems to work fine now, maybe my server was down for a minute. Make sure you have windows media player as it is a .wmv.
