F55: 4K stills in dpx format

Thanks Andy. Good to see someone shooting a real world exposure test. These cameras definitely have my attention.

Thanks for the link. That's what I call flexibility! The Arri Alexa and the new Sony F's have ended with the 'expose film for shadows and video for highlights' mantra. I'm excited!

I've never overexposed a subjects face by 4 stops but it's great to know it has this flexibility. I have had cameras where 1/2 stop over on skin was it's death though.

This is amazing. I don't have a test F55 yet and I am restricted in what I can show from the test F5 for the moment.

Really appreciate your work.

Ned

This will be more than enough DR for 95% of people, in a package that is already reaching mortal hands, unlike the maybe when it's ready Dragon... that is getting more expensive.

4 stops over, 4 stops under, and perhaps 8 stops base, that's 16 stops DR? Damn.

What gamma mode did he use with RAW, or am I to assume that the F5/F55 RAW uses linear-gamma and gamma correction is only applied in post? (as it is done with RED)
