4K Sony A9 E mount camera with dual XQD slots ?

This looks like it's going against the new 4K full frame DSLRs from Nikon and Canon.

MKII. A99 MKI came out in 2012 and MKII has been bandied about since the GH4 and A7s MKI era.

And they could have made it then too but they chose to promote their slimmer e-mount line. That's why A77MKII didn't have 4K either. Corporate decision making at its best.

The difference with previous rumors is that this one comes from a highly trusted source (one that in the past got very specific stuff right).

In any case the a7S II does just fps shooting RAW stills, and that must be a sensor limitation, it can't be a processing or storage bottleneck given what the other a7 bodies are doing. My point is: don't get much hopes of 4K RAW video so soon, it probably needs a new sensor.
