GH4 4K 10 Bit 4:2:2 Footage - And it's Glorious!!!

It's easy to forget that the internal 4K footage is 100mbps spread across hungry pixels and the image may leave a lot to be desired when not taken into account, but what would it look like uncompressed in 10 bits and 4:2:2 color space?

What does everyone think???

It's been already posted in the footage section + the guy on youtube simply ripped the footage from Mathew and reuploaded on youtube.

Here is the original, with a link for download of the 12gb ProRes 10bit 4:2:2 file from KiPro Quad:

UPDATE: Looks like original file is no longer available for download.

Yeah I figured it's been posted before, but just wanted to remind people who have stumbled upon this forum due to the GH4 frenzy that it is capable of uncompressed footage.

Do you know of any other clips of the 10-bit 4:2:2 capabilities? I'd love to view more! :)

Um once you get to YouTube it doesn't really matter anymore. You are not seeing 10bits, 4:2:2 or uncompressed video. This is entirely a placebo effect.

I'm not saying external recording will not look a bit better but nobody will be able to tell from a YouTube or Vimeo video. 100mbits is still a lot of bandwidth even for 4k video. Works out to maybe close to 25mbits for HD which is not all that bad when you have a good encoder.

I agree 100%, but the banding and other things is something that you can see. Plus I was hoping if it was uploaded onto Vimeo I can download the original and see how far I can push the footage.
