I am trying to better understand this mess of formats here on my HVX200a. So please tell me if I am correct in my thoughts here..............
The only reason to shoot 480i/30p instead of 480i/60i is if you are going for the "progressive/film" look. Much like 24p on the DVX. So I assume that the DVX shoots 480i/24p (over 60i). Correct?
Also, I shot 480i/30p the other day, and I when I brought it into a Standard DV-NTSC Premiere project, I got the red render bar of death in the timeline. Didn't understand why. I figured the pulldown in the camera made it ready for a Standard DV-NTSC 60i 29.97fps project, and that it wouldn't need to be rendered.
