48 hour film school SHORT FILM

Wow, that was really good, especially considering it's a 48hr project!

First off, the story was excellent and I really like the message it got across. It was neither rushed nor slow; good pacing and development. I like the simplicity of it all. One location w/ two people of different backgrounds.

Great casting and performances by the actors. Very professional feeling.

The cinematography was good as well, supplementing the story. It didn't draw attention to itself, I was never taken out of the story. I think they did a good job of letting the story work for itself.

Sound design and editing were good as well. Good cuts and nice even background noise. Dialogue was clear, I heard every word; all location sound? or some ADR?

Overall, and I really do mean this...this was one of the finer short films I've seen in a long time. It's mostly because of the story and acting, which are both top notch! Usually you'll get great cinematography but bad story and acting. I'm glad they nailed the story on this one!

I'm gonna email friends of mine with a link to this video. Nice job!

Great short! The acting was very natural, I think that's what made the story so convincing. The music supported the story very well, and the overall audio was good. The camera was a bit jerky/shaky here and there but it wasn't a big deal.

One question though, why black and white?

KiN.

great short. I like the tension of the story just after the bum starts feeding the birds.

Yea, I felt that as well. That's what struck with the editing and acting because I was so into it at that point... I was like, "what's he going to say to the bum now...is he pissed off? what's he thinking..."
