48 HFP / 24pA Workflow to MiniDV--Apple Motion-FCP

Up until now I've always just used the letterbox function in 4:3 when working with my cameras. I recently bought a DVX100B that I'll be using in the 48 Hour Film Project, and would like to utilize the Anamorphic and 24pA functions. I've read alot, but all the differing opinions are just leaving me confused about which road to take. The end product will be delivered on MiniDv.

I use FCP, Motion, and Soundtrack to complete my projects. Usually in that order.

With MiniDV as the intended export media, would 24pA be pointless to use in this application? Should I use 24p instead?

What would you recommend as my work flow for best (and easiest) results?

What shooting settings (24p, 24pA, squeezed or letterboxed, etc.)?
What capture settings in FCP?
What project settings in Motion to maintain aspect and resolution?
What export settings for best results to MiniDv?

I'm basically looking for someone more experienced than I with this camera and working with it in these programs to describe to me from start to finish what their workflow woulld be. I realize this is a loaded question, but I assume that's why everyone is here, because they like talking about cameras and editing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
