45 pages into a horror feature screenplay..

Azmyth,

Is this your first script? Had you read any books or taking a course in it as yet?

Is this the project that you plan to shoot at the missile (all these years I thought it was a test rocket and never paid attention)?

Had you considered hiring an experienced writer? There are many in ATL.

Bill's likely the most experienced writer in this thread that I know of so definitely pay heed and also look at getting that CD on writing horror as Randall suggested.

If you want to workshop it, you know about the Atlanta Screenwriters Group, right? I know it's a trek but it might be worth it before you start moving ahead before the script is ready.

This is indeed my first script. I'm kinda taking this on a learn as I go approach. I don't expect it to be the best thing since sliced bread. This isn't my first attempt at writing something, just in a script format. I've written short stories, poetry, music lyrics.. etc.. I know its not the same thing, but I would say it has helped.

The reason I hadn't looked into a writer, is because the entire idea behind the project was DIY and using things I had available to me here, where I am. Of course a writer isn't something that needs to be here with me in order to do so. But the reason why I am getting such good press from the city and locals here is because a "local" is behind it. Its a bigger deal when its one of their own. I'm confident I can get it done. I'd rather learn, than have someone else do it for me.

I would def. be interested in the CD, but right now I'm trying to skip travelling. I may make it up there to one eventually just for the contacts.

LOL! Yup, I have been busy writing, thus less presence here on dvxuer. Writing a high concept original romcom, and also just sequenced and wrote a treatment for a thriller to use for a UCLA class that starts in a few weeks, "Crafting the Thriller". Bill I love your audio CDs, I listen to them almost daily while out hiking!

...Randall - thanks for the plug, the classes are still on sale... but I'm cutting you off. I want to make sure you are *writing* and not just reading books and taking classes, etc. Write! - Bill
