GH4 42.5 1.2 not working with GH4 Might be a setting issue?

I just got a 42.5 1.2 panasonic lens and when its attached to the GH4 and I change the aperture the change does not show on the screen. It shows on the number at the bottom of the LCD but the light change is not showing on the LCD. This makes it impossible for me to shoot pics with the camera as I cannot judge exposure. Is this a setting error on my part? It works just fine in video mode just not in pic mode.

Any help I am dying to use this lens!!!

CONSTANT PREVUE set to ON does this for you but ONLY in manual exposure modes. You probably have the EXPOSURE MODE set to "M" for manual in the "Creative Movie" mode (movie camera icon on the dial on top) but must be trying to use Program, Aperture Priority, or Shutter Priority mode for stills by setting the dial on top to P, A, or S.

Set that to M for Manual and you should see the EVF and LCD reflect changes you make with shutter, aperture, or ISO.

Did you turn the aperture ring all the way to the right to make sure the "A" is locked in place? Doing so will allow you to control the aperture and see those values on the GH4.
