Looks like Kimko has been misunderstood. Read his posts again and substitute wife or girlfriend for the word "baby". Get it? Got it? Good!
 
for ANHAR......no my highly intellect friend who always amazes us with his formulars to what ever discussions we might be debating on, it's in the oral sense professing ones love for ones lover, without procreating so there's another mouth to feed.

I live in a glass house so I really don't like throwing stones. I really hate to judge a story before all the facts are in...I have only read what the scource posted and not a word from the woman. If the story is accurate to a tee and it is a case of pure neglect then I feel pitty for the woman and really bad for the child. I hope there are circumstances which have not come to light yet that make this tradgedy make sense. I have a good friend who grew up with an insane father who did some pretty out there things but I can't judge him because he was insane...Opperating in a different world than all around him. The dangers he put my friend through were not out of neglect but rather an inability to fully comprehend and reason his role in life.
 
Well I think we can all agree that regardless of the other circumstances, there SHOULD HAVE BEEN BARS ON THAT WINDOW!!! Seems like common sense to me, regardless of what side of the isle you're on.
 
Not trying to dis you here but is that the norm for apartment windows at that height? I'm looking at all the building around here, some twenty stories high, lots of kids and no bars in sight. So are you saying it should be introduced as a law that all windows at that height with minor occupants must have bars or am I missing something here:)
 
WOW this topic has been left to fill with right wing political remarks up to your armpits. Some of which are almost offensive... thus I will not make further comment...

P.S. I agree 100% she made a horrible decision to leave her child at home alone.

This debate is going off into a P tangent, but I Have to agree with Mino, untill all the facts are known one can not make judgements, we can however speak in general terms though. Life is never black and white (unless you are Michael jackson) :)

Actually, I thought it strange that most people's initial comments were about the mother. I mean, the kid fell 11 freakin' stories and LIVED! In fact, he wanted to stand up and walk away afterwards.
