What makes you stop filming "ages ago"?
Nothing really wrong with the filming and some cool shoots there but I think you should be able to squizz those 3min to 30sec, change the music to something with more spirit and kill those disolve transitions please.
But I think the important thing is you start shooting again and is important that you enjoy it more than anything else so nothing can stop you:)

I am not a cameraman nor an editor, but I want to be able to use the gear and understand it. A lot of cameramen have their own gear but that is not always the right gear, and with editing I want to spend my money on a good editor and save money by making a rough cut myself.

- music is Norwegian composer Grieg, and it is free (musopen DVD).
- don't like dissolves either, can't find a good alternative yet. (suggestions?)

Lut is Alexa_default_LogCrec709, seems the best although I have not a calibrated monitor. On my HD television set it was OK, a bit too much color and contrast, I think the original Log3 files match the real world better sometimes, but my taste might be different.

Yes I spend 15.000 euro on gear, including the drone I lost (insured). I studied tv journalism and started as a filmmaker and stopped with that because selling films/ideas was a lot harder than making them. So I started making and selling books. After a few year I became bored and started making brie/camembert too wich is very difficult (most difficult cheese to make wich I didn't know then), but tasty).
Now I sold that cheese factory and had some money.

I think the gear is a bargain, it is a lot of money, but the quality is great. At first I wanted a canon xf300 or a sony pxw200, but 4K is coming. (All television stores are loaded with 4K) and I want to make some long during projects so renting is difficult and in the long term more expensive and less flexible.

In Holland we have commercial Television and non-commercials, it still is very difficult to sell ideas and programms so I take a gamble. Again, lots of ideas but hard to sell.

But believe me, making films is more fun and less boring than making cheese. And I have the feel I am learning again and that is nice too.

Again thanks for your comments.

I live in Bergen Netherlands and to make thing more confusing, Holland has two towns of Bergen. The Fjord in Norway is the Hardangerfjord (near Bergen Norway).
Distance between both Bergens (the Norwegian an the Netherlands one(s) is 1000 kilometers.

Thanks for sharing, you definitely have the eye but as everything the more you practice the better you will be... Good Luck

Got it. I have visited and love both countries.
