4 questions for you dvx heads

1. whats the most hours on the meter people got before the dvx gave up?
2. where do i send it to get the heads replaced if the heads get dirty?
3. how much would it cost to get new heads?
4.where can i find parts for the dvx as well. such as a lens hood?

1. I haven't heard of anyone having a DVX "giving up" yet. You should be able to get at least 1,000 hours out of the heads, maybe 2,000.

2. "dirty heads" can be cleaned. Worn-out heads would need to be replaced, any Panasonic authorized service center can do that.

3. Don't know, probably around $800 or so as a wild guess.

4. From the Panasonic website, or any authorized service center.

Out of curiosity will the new heads be just as good as the new original ones. Ive heard with other cameras the refurnished are not as good or dependable. IS this true?

Video Electronics would probably be the way to go, especially since you're on SP and you don't need to pay any sort of evaluation fee.

yeah bro thanks for the lens hood find thats amzing its only 30 dollars i was actually expecting around 80-100 dollars. why i asked that was because i was gonan buy a dvx wihtout a lenshood
