4 pin XLR / Cigarette output connector advantages?

Any advantages of having one or the other? (4 pin XLR is a bit more $$, why?)
I am looking at buying a battery belt + NRG Light, wondering if would it be wise to buy the battery belt with both types of connectors? Or stick with one style and match all of your devices to that connector. I know that there are cable converters, but would like to keep it simple.

The 4-pin is what you find on industrial equipment. It locks and is more compact than the cigarette lighter plug.

The cigarette lighter plug normally doesn't lock, unless you get a marine-grade plug. And it doesn't handle high amperage well. It's also bulkier than the 4-pin version.

ALL profesional gear uses 4-pin XLR for power .. it's what you will find in the back of ANY broadcast camera, and power suplies alike.

The cigarette lighter is what you have in your car. One slight tug and it's disconnected and your camera looses power. Yeah, not fun.

Go with XLR-4

One other reason for using the 4-pin is that it far less susceptible to have a bad connection and either cause or receive RF noise which can be a real killer for the sound guys
