4 New TV Spots

hey all, its now been 3 months since my brother Evan and I quit Kinko's to start making local TV commercials and we are having so much fun! Here are some of the spots we made this month. let us know what you think!

Fenway:
I think this one was the best. Looked really great when you suddenly switched to 16:9 and the sound was really good. (I really liked this one..)

Proposal:
Well it works, I'm not to fond of the lighting, but that's probably just me.. It was funny though.

Forklift:
Reminded me too much of the apple commercials. I think it started a bit slow, with the faces and expressions, but it got better. Maybe slip some more expressions in there at the beginning, I don't know

Hybrid:
Umm, a bit to cheesy effect for my part. The colors seems off, I know they we're supposed to be that way, but there's something that just doesn't seem right.
But I have to ask.. where the hell did you find that voice? Sounds like a retarded Hugh Hefner.. sorry


Anyways.. overall I liked em :smile:

Lol at the last commercial, I still have no idea what he said at the beginning of the commercial (Hello, Americans?) And at the end he says the most retarded thing i think I've ever heard. I still can't even take a stab at what he was saying.

It sounds like you got one of those cheap Type and Speak things as a voice over. I would definitly fix that one, but as for the other ones they seemed fine to me.
I really liked the first one, it was very professional.

fenway - nice work with the transition

Proposal - My favorite I think, had the grab I like to see in 30s spots and got my attention. I agree on the lighting comment, too harsh for my taste.

forklift - too much wondering what the heck I'm watching at the beginning combined with a gap/apple/drug free psa. catchy idea though.

hybrid - wasnt all that engaging for me, just kinda boring, although I am a Paul Harvey fan, I dont think he has enough fanbase anymore for people to recognize him or his, "good day"

overall the shooting seemed good, I just didnt get "caught" by any of them. To me a 30 should be quick and engaging and lure you in and make you want to do something all in 30 seconds. Not an easy feat, but its something to work towards.
