4 Channels of Audio

I have always been curious as to what channels 3 and 4 are in my footage. To me, it sounds like the built-in mic. Is there a purpose of it at all? I scrolled through my HVX/HPX Handbook but couldn't find an answer...

3 and 4 are always camera mic unless you shoot in a non 4ch mode, it's a really good thing, great guide track, nice for interviews if the interviewer is not wired, etc.. It's very easy to shut off in any editing program as well..

Didn't i post this like 2 months ago...at least i'm not the only who couldn't figure it out. Barry to the rescue. Just wanted to point out, you have no gain control over the extra mics so they may not come in at the right volume.

Sorry to Hi-jack but what about on the 370? ... 1 shot gun mic , 1 wireless stick mic...... four channels and much like the 200 but with no internal mic I hear the ambient sound then the isolated voice track.
it looks like this:

A1.. ambient sound ( wireless mic)
A2.. Voice track ( wireless mic )
A3.. Ambient Sound ( shotgun )
A4.. Voice track ( shotgun)

it's Hell when switching live in the field with no time to set up an audio board..... or have an Audio guy.... I would love to isolate just the voice tracks... Any thoughts?
