4 channel audio, Premiere with Raylight

I'm trying to edit with some footage shot on my HVX in Premiere with Raylight, like I usually do. Trouble is, the idiot using the camera didn't have the external mic turned on when recording. Luckily, the on-camera mic still got the audio, but on channels 3 and 4. How do I import the clips into premiere with all 4 channels? Or maybe just channels 3 and 4?

You can drag the 02 and 03 audio MXF files into RayMaker (or your entire AUDIO folder which is easier) and it will make them into WAV files. That's one way. The other way is rename the files to swap 00, 01 with 02,03. Premiere does not support file import with 4 channels, only mono, stereo and 5.1.

Ah, okay thanks. That makes sense.

I'm dissapointed in Premiere though...

I've always used premiere, and people always tell me, "Premiere isn't professional enough!"

I've always said, "Umm... just because whatever you use is harder to use, doesn't make it more professional." But this is the first time Premiere has let me down, capabilities wise.

Please elaborate on this :)
