Hello all,
Iam thinking about to buy a dslr for video, but have some questions since Iam a beginner.
I have some nikon DX lenses and maybe I will buy even another one (Tokina 11-16) for my nikon camera, just for photography.
I did read that there are adapters around for the DX lenses:
http://www.amazon.com/RAINBOWIMAGING-Adapter-aperture-Panasonic-RainbowImaging/dp/B003TROEBM (it says with adapter control ring..)
and I did read also that some use such lenses with an adapter for their i.e. GH2 even these lenses are DX and have no aperture ring.
How are you doing with such an adapter and without the option to see what aperture is choosen actually ? How does this looks in practice ?
If I would buy a GH2 for example, the Tokina 11-16 2.8 would be quiete a nice lens for filming i guess. I know that there is a 4/3 version of it available aswell, but since I would use it for my Nikon aswell Iam not sure if this adapter solution would benefit on a 4/3 camera for filming. I could imagine to film without the AF, but its hard for me to understand how are you guys doing it with the adapter solution and without any aperture ring on the lens itself.
