Okay, so I tried searching but couldn't find, so could someone please be kind and help me out here. I simply want to know, what IS 4:2:2? What do the numbers specifically represent? I know it has something to do with how some element of the camera (in this case let's say HVX200) receives and interprets color and light, but can someone be specific? And if you could please compare it to the DVX? I would appreciate this a lot. Thank you so much.
 
I just read it. Thank you for the referral, it was exactly what I wanted to know. (and now I secretly pout at the 4:1:1 color sampling of my DVX, and long even more for an HVX, oh how ignorance truly IS bliss, ah well, too late now, I had to ask)
