Okay, I have loaded 4.0.5 (with patch) onto a qualified laptop. The software works great on anything new I create, without any errors doing video and audio dissolve renders. I usually save most of my archival stuff as P2 virtual clips on some BuffaloTerrastations. Like I said, this stuff works fine every time.
When it comes to actual clips stord online with avid, it is quite different. If I open an older project, or open a new project, but use media that was saved to my lanshare storage prior to the upgrade, it will render out video dissolves, but freezes the software every time it hits an audio dissolve. Every time I am forced to open task manager and end the avid program.
I have re-installed both the software and patch a few times, but nothing seems to fix the issue.
