[FatKid]

VIDEO RAID w/ 3 Terabytes of storage. SATA RAID
This is for the serious editor! (This is not a FireWire based storage system.)
Sata Raid for uncompressed HD/SD editing. Can be used with Kona, Blackmagic, or any
other card that takes HDSDI/SDI. We've on-lined features, television and industrials with this system. Works great. Comes with Rocket Raid card for PCI-X. Will work with any rocket sata card! This is a DR Group Raid and was designed for editing in uncompressed mode. This was well maintained, and kept in-house for it's entire life. Works great with Final Cut Pro Studio 2.

Its rock solid both in the build and in running! Rack mountable!!

How old are the drives, and how many hours on them? What brand and size are the drives?

[FatKid]

8 Hitachi Drives, 375gb works out to be around 2.8-9 TB when formatted.
not sure about the hours, but we purchased the raid in early fall 2005.
It was well maintained, after every project we cleaned them up and restriped.
This was racked in a clean room and never moved until recently.
We have a new picture with it open up now.
