The following is a post in the Denver Craigslist ad but I'm opening it up to freelancers elsewhere as needed. Obviously local is preferred but if the right person / people come along elsewhere we might be able to make it work.

We are looking for a short duration Motion Graphics / 3D / Compositing / Animation artist to assist with a possible upcoming project and are seeking reels / resumes and day/week rates for work. The project will consist of creation of a digital projection of an underwater world that will be presented utilizing (16) 10k projectors throughout a large room (including floor and ceiling projection) and will be coordinated with Denver's leading event / projection team for a synced presentation. We're looking for a digital artist who can help model individual elements, assist with creation of the final render / composite, animate (along with scripting for basic schooling behavior), prepare composites in After Effects, create atmospheric / lighting effects.
The scene will be a synced presentation across all the projectors with fairly static images (with ripple, lighting, motion added throughout the room) but will incorporate small story elements that will proceed from screen to screen (including floor / ceiling). Total running time of the projection will be a looping 20 minutes and needs to be as realistic as possible (We're not at all looking for cartoon feel).
This is a short term project and will be commissioned in February with the largest amount of work being in March and April (A very rushed project for the scope / scale)
Some of the elements that will be needed / created as well as requirements include but are not limited to the following:
• Creation of schools of various species of fish, coral, seaweed with some schooling behavior and animation that can be composited in AE
• Incorporation of live action plates shot on green screen of scuba / other (Filmed on the Red One MX)
• Rig / Animation of models by other including Turbosquid / Blender
• 2D Photo layout / Rotoscoping / animation
• Compositing / Animation in After Effects for ripples, volumetric lighting effects and particles.
• Pre-Render / Animation Testing and Review by Clients.
• Assist in projection layout, testing and previsualization
• Be adept at shortcut / time saving methods by utilizing pre-renders, 2d Roto instead of 3d etc (We don't have to do this perfectly... just make it look like it's perfect)
• Assist with video capture / incorporation of RED plates (we can shoot them, we just want to make sure it works for our purpose before filming).
• Advise in equipment / software purchases for maximum speed / capability.
• Timeliness, organization, reliability and capability
