$375 for GH1 with LUMIX G VARIO 14-42mm Lens w/ Panasonic EPP !

Usually the last production batches are the best copies. Although PD is selling unhackable GH1 bodies, those are the latest batches that mitigated the dreaded FPN issue. Making the body more useful in low lighting. $375 is a bargain price. $499 is also a bargain with the 14-42. The lens is decent compared to more expensive zooms. It's a good temporary solution until the pro m43 zoom becomes available.

why does anyone bother posting about how great of a deal they got with EPP?

The majority of us can't get those deals.

I don't know about the Facebook offer as I am not on Facebook, but the CES Tech Enthusiast members can get it for S425 and free shipping. I just put it in my cart and it says the cameras are in stock, but the lens is not.

In the coupon section use the code: FIRST2K

Nice price, if it was hackable it would be the deal of the century. For anyone without a GH1...$375 plus some adapted lenses - thats a miracle in quality for under $500 total.

PD staff gave me a tracking number. The lens is on the way scheduled to be delivered on next Monday. He said GH1 body will be shipped today since they just got a new batch of GH1 units. I don't think they r still manufacturing GH1. They must be trying to sell asap. When they sell all, I hope there's the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

I knew the GH1's should be shipping soon since Panasonic posted the GH1 deal again on their Facebook page yesterday.

I guess they really wanna clear out GH1 inventory asap. Just release 1.34 firmware!!! It will be cleared immediately.

Yep, but then it will hurt their sales of GH2.... $499 is too rich for my blood. Besides, I already have a 7d. Now if it was still $375 including shipping, I might bite :-) but then the gf would yell at me though -- she already says I buy too many electronic gadgets..

Some GH2 owners don't play with their GH13 much since they got GH2. I don't think it's going to hurt GH2 sales too much if Panny releases 1.34 firmware. In a long run those who got into M43 through the GH1 deal would upgrade to GH2, GH3, etc. Why lose potential long-term customers to NEX or NX or Nikon's mirrorless system?

I'm not sure people wouldn't still buy a Gh1 if it were hackable. I'm working on a story that would need 3 cameras going in certain parts. I'm getting a GH2 to go with the GH1 I already have and I could use another GH1 for this, especially at those low prices.

well I got it for 375 without epp , just the facebook link - it said 425 and when it was put in the cart it showed 375 - and about the hack - one theory is these are coming back from dealers so it´s possible that some may have older firmwares , if that´s true

So, do we have a reason why it lists for 375, 425 & 499? Which is it?

Here is what I discovered. I have a Panasonic account through CES and using that account, my price was $425. I don't have a Facebook account, but when I used my daughter's account I saw the $425 price before I added it to the cart. Once I added it to the cart, the price dropped to $375 plus taxes and shipping (a total of $401.48), but when I went to pay, I had to log on to the Panasonic website. In doing this, I used my CES created login, and the price jumped back up to $425. I removed the items from my cart, cleared out all cookies and went back to the initial Facebook page. This time when I had to log onto the Panasonic site, I created a new login with another email account and I was able to get the $375 price.

I hope this helps those of you who are not getting the $375 price!

im pretty sure this deal is up. i cant get the 375 price anymore only 500. friggin pany website is so so bad.

i became a fan on fbook, tryed the link didnt work. registered on pany website, that didnt work.... DANG IT!

Special Offer! Buy a LUMIX GH1 and get a LUMIX G Vario 14-42mm Lens all for only $499.95! That's a $180 savings. Offer ends 2/28. Visit our Fans Only tab to access our Facebook Store.. This is what their FB page says, so how is everyone getting it for 375 or 425? I have managed to get the product in my cart for 425, but when I go to checkout it goes to 548! I'm confused, lol... Has anyone tried ordering via phone?

ok - open up facebook , register with the pany buyers club , go to fans only , then click on the link given by ulisses on page 3 of this thread , or go to the original thread about the deal which will be a few pages back , and click on that link while youre open in facebook - see if that works - unless they are out of the cameras you should get a 425 price and when you put it into the cart it will change to 375

When you say to register with the panny buyers club, that means to 'like' them in FB? Also when I log onto their site on my page it says 'club panasonic' where on the others in this thread it says 'facebook' I must be doing something wrong....
