$375 for GH1 with LUMIX G VARIO 14-42mm Lens w/ Panasonic EPP !

Hey at least we know something is coming. It is almost impossible to know if the stupid order even went through on the website. At least now I can fondle the lens for a few weeks or so.

I'm beginning to think $375 wasn't so crazy glitch. They really need to clear out the stock asap. Nikon mirrorless is coming. Sony NEX 4 or 7 is coming. More competition but usual feature crippling. Then it's the price war. If Panny is smart, they should lower the price on all M43 bodies and sell as many as they can this year. Forget about thinner profit margins. Fight for bigger market share. Make profits on selling many more M43 lenses next year.

Please don't go the "Windows" route. Think Apple - small market share, slightly pricey, but oh the quality.

Still no email for my order but when I log into the webpage my order status does show the lens has shipped. For whatever odd reason it shows I was charged $1.87. I am assuming that is for the shipping of the lens and for whatever reason they are waiting to charge me for the rest. This ordering experience has been one of the most "interesting" online experiences I have ever had.

My credit card just got billed for the full amount. According to the order confirmation my card would not be charged until the item has shipped. I'm betting it is only the lens that has shipped. I guess it wouldn't make sense for them to ship the "free" part of the order without first charging the card...

very odd, I finally get to the site, put the camera (Package) into my cart, and right before I checkout the price jumps up? Anyone notice this?

I just tried putting it in my cart and it still shows $375 but I did not try to checkout because I have enough problems with their website and don't want two orders.

when you put your info in and start to checkout, it will change, I don't know why?

It will add your state sales tax . Are you saying the $375 EPP combo price goes up when you checkout ? BTW it looks like they should be getting the GH1 shipment in since they just posted to their Facebook page today about the GH1 deal.
Panasonic's system is horrible, they almost never know status, they do not send shipping emails, but they also have never failed to deliver on any order I have placed...
I have ordered many items from them. I just received a 14mm I ordered in October and am still waiting on my GH2. Some of my other lens orders have taken over 6 months! (However, I also got the 7-14 for just over $700 and paid even less than that for the 45mm prime.)
My point is a small bit of advice for those out there waiting, unless you need it right away, give it a little time and don't frustrate yourselves calling - Panasonic will eventually deliver and the price is unbeatable.
