$375 for GH1 with LUMIX G VARIO 14-42mm Lens w/ Panasonic EPP !

haha. Anyone wanna buy a GH1 body for $350? I just want the lens! If you can't see the deal, pm me and I can ship you the body when I get it.
 
My UPS shipping info shows a weight of 1.40 lbs compared to my GH2 body only UPS weight of 3.90 lbs a month ago so I wonder if that might be just the 14-42 lens.
 
ok so i got into the website and saw the totaled price of $750 for 2 gh1s with 2 14-42mm lens. so yes they r 375 each. problem is when i tried to buy them. they wont let me change the billing country. im in canada. so either i change the address on my card (not too hard) or find someone in the states. Il get em tho.

i never did see the 499 price tag. I became a fan on fbook (pretty sure that didnt change anything) then i clicked on this link.

Panasonic's website is not designed very well (er just glitchy)...sometimes you have to try something a couple different ways to load items properly.
 
I managed to place an order for $375.00 but I still have not received a confirmation email for my order. The oder page was a bit buggy for me so I am a bit nervous. Of course it is 4:30 AM so perhaps that has something to do with it. I really hope it worked because this price is a steal. Even more so when you consider the lens alone almost costs this much.
 
Panasonic is the worst online seller on the planet for getting order status. I just checked my order and it only shows the 14-42mm and nothing about the GH1 in my order status. But when I got email confirmation Sunday it showed the 14-42 on backorder and the GH1 shipping. WTF ! I will not call them since they are clueless about any orders and I wasted 8 hours of my life on hold with the many calls on my GH2 order last month. UPS shows a 1.40 lb package from them mailed out of Seattle to be delivered next monday. BTW my GH2 body was 3.9 lbs.

Just calm down.
You did not have expirience with some Russian internet shops.
They could send you confusing mails for a week and then tell you on phone that order had been cancelled actually and their system just is not working propertly :-)
So, Panasonic is definitely not the worst :-)

ok ..finally got it to work for me after trying all day yesterday and showing no discount - trick is to be on facebook logged in as panasonic fan - 413 delivered - lens is backordered so will ship later - says camera ships in 1 to 3 business days -I have to say after watching the social network I was alittle turned off by facebook but this redeems itself - it´s such a steal now I´ll probably wait to do the same with the gh2 ! thanks for the help !
 
still no sign of my order ever going through so I emailed Panasonic and they responded to me. It looks like the lens has shipped but the body is on back order. Thats a bit odd. Still no order confirmation email or order status update on the Panasonic webpage but if they say it was ordered then I guess I just have to wait blindly and see if it actually shows up or not.

Based on the email I received however it looks like it is actually the body that is back ordered and not the lens. That kind of makes sense since it should be the normal kit lens from the GH2 so they should have plenty of them I would think.

Heres to hoping:

A. I actually get one.
B. They have to dig some older models out of a warehouse somewhere and I actually get a model that isn't firmware challenged.
 
Just talked to Panasonic. Contrary to what the website said, the BODY is on the backorder not the lens. The lens has been shipped to me :/

Gee, that's gonna be a lot of fun to play with while you wait for the camera.
And, if they're on back order......where are they getting them from??? Are they going to make some more?? I thought the GH1 was discontinued.....???? When they're gone, they're gone.
Strange.
 
Well these may be from the last production run which means they are probably on the way across the Pacific right now. From what the rep said, I gathered less than a 2 week wait.
