I've been into SD video production for a few years, but I never really got into still photography or film. I do, however, have a very good script that I am saving for my HVX200, and theres a few moments in it that practically scream for a shallow depth of field. I've heard on and off about people using 35mm adaptors on the HVX200 stock lens to achieve that kind of picture, but I'm very new to this aspect of cinematrography, and a quick forum search didn't get me anywhere.
Can anybody give me a basic rundown on...
What I would need to achieve the shallwo DOF shots as far as adaptors, extra lenses, rail systems, etc. etc.
What the different brands are, essentially a 'whos who' description
And maybe some pros and cons with different adaptors and lenses.
I know that might sound a little 'gimme gimme', but I head back to school soon, and once classes start I won't have much time to research this kind of stuff as thoroughly as I'd like to. If anybody can give me some tips or maybe just link me to a thread that already has said tips, it would be much appreciated!
