Hi, I have a specific question about a combination that I am thinking about getting. What do you think about a Letus 35 Economy + Pentax SMCP-FA 50mm? Im a newbie to this kind of stuff...so if I am completely wrong, tell me. Thanks!

Hey,

Good choice on the Letus. I really want one...

That lens looks nice, so I'm sure it would be a good combination, wait for more thoughts on this though, for I am not the most knowledgeable person to talk to about lenses.

I know most people use Nikkor 50mm.

Am I going to need to buy a mount? Also, what is the number one cheapest 35mm adapter available, because I only have $300-400 to spend on adapter+lens

Emoo, when it comes to 35mm adapters, it is a big investment any where you go. The older adapters that you will get cheaper loose more light so you will need to spend your$ on more expensive lights, the slower the lens (F3.5-4.5) will be bad on light. Also the older Cheaper adapters dont have the best sharpness out there and usually have some problems. The cheapest thing I would recommend new would be the Letus Economy.

Personally I'd save the money and spend it on some lights or something more useful that fits your price range, if you are new to the game and don't have an awful lot to spend then why rush to get a 35mm?

Well I have lights and microphones that are accessible with no charge--i really want a professional look that 35mm lenses give me....

Then you know what you want, now what your going to here from everyone is to try the adapters you want out, and choose from there. All of the newest adapter are much better then the older cheaper adapters so you are really better off going new. You can do it like me, I used the Brevis and the M2, and decided I want to go with a spinner, but not the M2,So I went with the SgPro and I love it the best out of any adapter I have used. Lenses are lenses, go fast an furious and have them be in good condition.
