GH5 35-100 2.8 II Firmware issue

Just bought the 35-100 2.8 II lens brand new and it reads on the lens version on the GH5 that it is firmware 1.0. I read on the panny site that the latest firmware is 1.3. Can anyone confirm this? I ask because when I download that firmware version 1.3 and go to upload, it won't take. (just says no pictures to view) I've updated firmware many times so it's not user error. Any thoughts? Thank you.
 
The 1.3 firmware is for the OLD 35-100mm f/2.8 Mark I lens, NOT the Mark II lens.

My Mark II lens is also running on firmware 1.0
