3300 and 5300

Kind of debating between the 3300 and the 5300. Price wise the 3300 would be better but arent the 3300 and 5300 almost identical in terms of image quality? Right now all I have is a canon with a few lenses. I looked into one of the newer more recent canons but the price was more than I want to pay.

Go for the D5200 instead of the D3300, a flip out screen is essential! Shares the same sensor with the D5200.

Though in your shoes, I'd suggest looking at the Sony A5100 / A6000 or Panasonic G7 instead for filming with.
