32gb SxS confusion...

No, it's not a typo; Sony's own SxS FAQ lists it as 140 minutes. They also list the 8GB card at 35 minutes (which is at the same rate).

My guess is that they're quoting runtimes based on 25mbps mode, not 35mbps mode. Try it in 25mbps and see if it tells you that you have 140 minutes available.
 
16GB at 25Mbps gives about 80min so 32 would be about 160min.

In theory:
32,000(MB) / 4.375 (35Mbps in MBps) = 7314 sec = 122 min

So 116min sounds about right with it always not 100% filling the cards.
