32 gig P2s not far off

There is some news on the SD front:

http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1989984,00.asp

Sandisk announced a 4GB SD 2.0 card with 2MB (20Mbps) transfer speeds. Theoretically, four of these would get you a 16GB P2 card with 8MB (80Mbps) bandwidth. This is the official speed rating, so there is a margin of error and they likely are capable of slightly faster reliable operation, especially if they are sampled.

The card will list for just under US$ 200.00, and this includes a free USB 2.0 card reader valued at US$ 20.00.

I've noticed there are several 4 gig sd cards available from $75- $100 on price grabber. I bet Panasonic can offer the 16 gig cards as soon as they feel like it.

Hey everyone,
It's my first post @ DVXuser.com and nobody cares! Yay!

Anyways, I've been following this camera for a long time, and like it's been mentioned before, the main reason I did not purchase the AG-HVX200 is because of the price of the P2 media. I am currently using the Canon XL2 and I am more than satisfied with the results I'm getting, but in all honesty, 4:2:2 > 4:1:1 any day.

If Panasonic could start knocking down the prices on P2, I'd be willing to bet that the HVX200 would sell like crazy.

It's already selling like crazy... so much so that they can't hardly meet the demand. Lowering the price would just make matters worse, at this point.
